Racial Abuse & Respect

Discrimination:

The Mid-Cheshire Youth Football League (“Mid-Cheshire Youth Football”, “we” or “us”) are committed to eliminating all forms of discrimination; whether because of gender; sexual orientation; race; nationality; ethnic origin; colour; religion or ability and to encourage equal opportunities for all.

If you have been subjected to any discriminatory behaviour – or seen it happen – you need to be able to report it quickly, and to the right people.

We treat every report in confidence, ensuring concerns or experiences are heard, taken seriously and dealt with promptly and appropriately.

Kick It Out

In the past, Discrimination has been reported to the management committee.

Discrimination in whatever form, is both immoral and a criminal offence.

For the benefit of existing members and new clubs and teams, we would like to take this opportunity to reiterate the Mid-Cheshire Youth Football Leagues position on discrimination.

Over the years, the number of reported incidents have decreased, which is extremely good news for everyone associated with the Mid-Cheshire Youth Football League.

The Management Committee will take any action necessary to ensure that our League is free of any form of Discrimination, and would like to confirm that we will not tolerate Discrimination in any form.

It is important that all League members recognise the implications of any Discrimination, of whatever form, given by players’, officials, or spectators, of their respective clubs.

Severe penalties will be levied at individuals and clubs who contravene the above, which could include dismissal from the League.

We thank the member clubs who follow good practice for their help and understanding on this matter.

We need to maintain this within the Mid-Cheshire Youth Football League.

Will all Club Secretaries, please remind all their club officials, players and supporters of this matter.
